15 and thinking about getting myself an iPhone?

I have never had a phone and so i thought it would be fun to have one to text my friends that i won't get to be around this summer. I was wondering how much an iPhone is and if it is really worth t. What features come with at and (if you own one) what are the side effects, does it always work, how much is texting? Basically i just want to know how the whole iPhone thing is going to work. Are there other brands that do the same things but cheaper or have better quality?

13year old brother has one you should get on iphone4s

The cost of texting and whatnot will be dependant on what service provider you get (sprint, AT&T, Verizon, etc) The latest model of iPhone (iPhone 5) is not the best, in my opinion, as the operating system hasn't really been properly adapted to the new screen size, and the iPhone 4s will be much cheaper, although it will have a smaller screen. Look around at some other brands, like the Samsung Galaxy, Nokia Lumia, or some HTC phones, as they all tend to be high quality smartphones. Try to avoid the newest models if you don't want to break the bank; the older models offer the core functionality at much cheaper prices, while the newer models have relatively minor improvements that, to me, do not justify the price. I would recommend taking a look at and reading up on the phones you are interested in. Most phone company websites (AT&T, Sprint, etc) will have details about pricing and hardware. Buying a smartphone can be a big decision, as you will probably have it for a few years, and it normally quickly becomes a big part of your daily life, so make sure you make an informed decision.

The iPhone is a good phone, but it can get very pricey (about $400 with a 2-year contract) in addition to the monthly fees and data plan, you'd be paying about $60 a month on AT&T or Verizon. But monthly price would be about the same for any smart phone. Most phones can do pretty much the same as the iPhone. The biggest factor would be the price of the phone itself if you are trying to get one without a contract you're looking at about $600 dollars for a new iPhone 5. You could get a fairly decent phone for half of that, like a Nokia Lumia 920 (about $320) or a Samsung Galaxy S3 (about $350). All are good phones but the iPhone can get pretty expensive. It's got Siri and its thinner than the S3 but that hardly outweighs the price difference.

  • Thinking of getting the iphone 4s? Please don't tell me to get the newer ones because i just want the 4s thanks. Any review or what you think of the iphone 4s would be really helpful, how easy it breaks, how long it lasts, how slow it is, what apps etc What was it's price when it first came out in UK pounds? What is its price now if you buy the phone without a contract? Anything else
  • Thinking of getting refurbished iPhone 5? My phone is a slow, outdated Android phone and I wanted to try an iPhone. The newest model is quite expensive so I think I ll get the 5 instead. IIm planning to use it for 1-2 years, do you think it's still supported by Apple?
  • Thinking of getting new iPhone - will old iPhone work as an iPod without sim? Am eligible for upgrade and was thinking of giving current iPhone 4 to 8 year old to use as an iPod. Will it work without a sim?
  • Thinking of getting a new device, what to do with old one? So I've had an iPod touch 3G for like a few years since my parents got it for me as a birthday present. But now that I got a job and earning money I've been thinking lately of getting an iPhone 5 or another more updated device since they are so much more faster and better! So I was thinking, what should I do with my outdated iPod touch 3G when I get a new device? Destroying it seems like a waste so what are something's I could do?
