300mb data plan for verizon?

I broke my basic phone and want to upgrade to an iphone, but i do not want to pay the ridiculous dta plan prices, i heard from a friend she has 300mb of data for 20 dollars a month, can i get that?

The 300MB data plan is for basic phones only. If you want a smart phone from Verizon, you will be required to get the 1GB of data for $50.

300MB of data is no longer $20, it is $40.So the plan she is on must be an old plan that is no longer available.

  • Would 300MB of data be enough for this kind of use? I have an iPhone 5 and I was wondering if I'd need any more than 300MB of data? I have Wi-Fi everywhere I go, the network in my area is terrible (0.01 Mbps). I've had my phone for a little over a week and I've only reached 7MB out of 3GB. HOWEVER, the 3GB plan is only $10 more than the 300MB plan… Plus, I have a trip coming up and I was thinking of using my phone as a GPS, but I don't know how much data I'll use. :\
  • Would 300mb of data be enough for and iPhone 4s? I'm looking into getting an iPhone 4s and have Wi-Fi at home i would just be using 3g regularly on my journeys nearly everyday i'd say for about 20 mins. I'm just wondering whether 300mb would be enough to last me the month.
  • Will 300MB be enough each month for an iPhone 5? So I'm not exactly 100% sure what the 300MB do. But it is the cheapest plan for Verizon, and I was wondering how quickly it would be used up each month? All I would really do with the phone is mainly twitter and Instagram, text and call people only when I need to, and take pictures and videos. And of course a few other apps, but I don't think that has to do with the amount of MB. Will 300MB last me each month if I use the phone for only these things?
  • What is data in a Verizon data plan? I just got an iphone 5 and am having some trouble. I know that data includes email, accounts and any internet websites (facebook, youtube, netflix). Does it use up data to have multiple internet browsers open even though I only look at one at a time? Is it possible to use up data when the phone is off? Also, is taking a picture, playing app games, listening to music, and siri considered to be "data" on the data plan? Is there an overall explanation for what a data plan is?
