Would 300MB of data be enough for this kind of use?

I have an iPhone 5 and I was wondering if I'd need any more than 300MB of data? I have Wi-Fi everywhere I go, the network in my area is terrible (0.01 Mbps). I've had my phone for a little over a week and I've only reached 7MB out of 3GB. HOWEVER, the 3GB plan is only $10 more than the 300MB plan… Plus, I have a trip coming up and I was thinking of using my phone as a GPS, but I don't know how much data I'll use. :\

I think the 300mg would be enough for your trip just don't be using it 24/7

But it is the cheapest plan for Verizon, and I was wondering how quickly it would be used up each month? All I would really do with the phone is mainly twitter and Instagram, text and call people only when I need to, and take pictures and videos. And of course a few other apps, but I don't think that has to do with the amount of MB. Will 300MB last me each month if I use the phone for only these things?
