Account not in this store message after updating IOS 6?

Since I update my iPhone 4 to IOS 6, I get a message that says with the heading "account not in this store".It then says:
"Your account is not valid for use in the Canadian store. You must switch to the US Store before purchasing."
However, I live in Canada and I don't want to be in the US Store because than my giftcards that were purchased won't work. How do I make my account valid for the Canadian store. I used the Canadian store before I updated. Any Ideas or advice from smart people?

  • Iphone stuck in recovery mode after updating to IOS 7 beta? I tried updating my iPhone 4 to iOS 7 beta, without developers account, using restore + shift on itunes and clicking my downloaded IOS 7 firmware. This failed at a certain part, it said error 1934 or something, at that point my phone was still working, then I tried again and it became stuck in recovery mode. I tried different tutorials but I just can't get it working again, please help!
