Adding a line Verizon & getting cheaper iPhone 5?
I currently have AT&T. My contract is up and I've been waiting to upgrade for the iPhone 5 to come out. I have been planning to add myself on to my husband's Verizon account, but can I get the subsidized iPhone 5 price by doing this? I'm not sure if things are different with the new Share Everything plans. How does this work?
Also, my husband's account isn't up for an upgrade. It began around May 2012.
Contracts are per line, not per account. You can add a second line and it will have its own new-contract phone price/offers, renewal date, etc.
Share Everything allows you to use the pool of everytihng (data, texts, and phone minutes) together, instead of separate. For example, you used to have to buy a text message plan per line, and a data plan per line if you didn't start a contract before the tiered data plans. Now you can just buy one plan for everyone to use together.
- Would an iPhone 5 be quicker and/or cheaper online or through a Verizon Store? Eligible for an upgrade and I want to get it as soon as possible. Which is quicker? Which is cheaper?
- Will my cell phone plan with verizon be cheaper if I get the iPhone separately? I plan on switching to Verizon soon, yet I will be on a budget since I'll also be living on my own for college. So my question is, can I open up an account with Verizon, buy a cheap phone with data and texting etc. On it, THEN buy a Verizon iPhone off of ebay? Also, how much would the monthly charge be if I was to buy an iPhone 5 with its plan at Verizon?
- Which is cheaper for iphone plans? Verizon or tmobile? I'm wanting to get an iphone in December and I've never had a contract with any cell phone company before, so I should get an iphone for free or basically nothing right? I'm wanting the cheapest plan either verizon or tmobile has for their iPhones. I want something with limited min but unlimited texting and data. How much would that be do you think? I'm thinking an iphone for a Christmas gift to myself.
- Verizon iPhone dead, but another line is eligible for an upgrade, contract options? In our share everything Verizon plan, we had 1 IPhone contract activated in October 2012, and 3 in March 2013. My iPhone is broken due to water damage- it's 2 year contract is over this march.Is it possible to purchase a $200 phone through the October contract (while keeping our #s) or do I have to pay full price for an upgrade or wait until march to get a deal on a phone?
