Advise me a good DSLR camera?

I need a good DSLR camera.

I'm a newbie in photography and would like to purchase the camera to just take high quality pictures when modeling with friends and basically to just get a good focus and for it to be professional looking.

But also something relatively cheap.

Under $300 would be best!

Also, I have an iPhone, which I think is a 10MP camera, so thats okay quality. I need something way better.

So is it worth purchasing a DSLR camera under $300?

Should I just save up and get a good DSLR that will be $700 or more?

Or will a $300 do just fine?

I need it to take good pictures of faces. Basically a camera that works good with people and can capture every little hair, haha

For about $450 you can still get a Nikon D3100 or Canon Rebel T3. Both nice cameras to start with.
$300 might get you a used Nikon D3000.

You are a newbie and still need to learn the photography so don't invest much on the costly high end DSLRs. I would suggest you to go for Canon Rebel series the starter range. Later once you think you are expert then you can sell your canon rebel body only and can upgrade to other high end camera. I suggest Canon.
