Amazon refuses to give me a refund for the item lost?

I ordered an Iphone 6s from Amazon for 800$ it was "delivered" to me on Jan 20th. However i never received it the tracking number said that it was left by my door but i could not see anything. So I contacted Amazon and explained that i had not received it so it may have been lost or stolen they told me to contact the police and get a reference number which i did and i provided the reference number to amazon. Then amazon told me to wait because they will do some investigation and then finally 2 weeks later i call them and they tell me that they have contacted the post office and they have proof that it was delivered and its not amazons respnsibility to offer a refund at this time. I was so angry but she refused to provide further information.

What should i do?

Did you contact the seller or was this directly through amazon? That's weird because usually amazon is really good about refunds. Maybe they are being iffy about it because it's such a large purchase. Not sure what you could do…

If you put this on a credit card then contact the card. One of the great things about credit cards is they fight these battles for you.

Amazon would not send something that expensive without a signature required. So it seems that they have a signature for the package and the gps shows that it was at your address. So I would check with your family or roommates to see where the package is. USPS uses GPS tracking, so not only would it show where they were standing when it was tracked, but actually have a visual of the signature. If you have the tracking number, you can go to the p.o. And request to see the signature that was on the package.

Ask them to see the "PROOF"
