App recommendations for animated photos?

I'm looking for recommendations for apps that will allow me to animate photos. For example, the Prynt camera allows me to print Polaroid photos, which may be scanned by my iPhone and plays a video on my phone. I was wondering if there was an app equivalent of this if I were to just buy a Polaroid camera instead of Prynt s camera (I just don't like their photo quality).

The quality from a Prynt camera and any instant-film camera such as a Polaroid or Fujifilm Instax are going to be on par with each other. So if you don't like Prynt's image quality, you will surely not like the quality of any instant film either.

How do you want to animate the photos? Do you want to manipulate the images so that bits and pieces of the image are moving? If so, then you'd use Photoshop. Do you just want to have a slide show? My point is that "animating" is a rather vague term and can be various different types of techniques.

I was planning on placing a quick 1-2 second video or like an Instagram boomerang once you scan the photo. And as for Prynt, I only ever actually saw it on another video, so I'll take another look at it in real life to examine it again!

  • Why Isn't My Weather App Animated in iOS 7? I had seen pictures and videos of the Weather App in iOS 7 animating (for example: lightning striking if there are thunderstorms or rain falling if it's raining). Mine is just a picture of clouds now, not moving. Is there any setting I need to change to get the weather animated? Please note I have the iPhone 4 so it may not get this feature?
  • Speakers for my college dorm recommendations? Moving into the dorms for my second year of college and want to buy some crystal clear speakers that will hook up to my laptop and/or iphone so any suggestions? • Recommendations for iPhone 4s cases? I need a durable, affordable, cute iPhone case. I don't want an otterbox or otterbox style case (too expensive and boy-ish). I currently have a wallet-style fold-over case, but it always gets in the way when I'm trying to take pictures. Any suggestions? Durability (Protective) Affordable Cute
  • Recommendations for a tablet? I have the iPhone 4s and MacBook pro and my parents have offered to get me a tablet for college so I can physically write notes during class without needing to bring my laptop everywhere or have a bunch of notebooks and pencils. I'm leaning toward getting the new iPad and a stylus because it would be more compatable with my other devices but I'm not sure how practical it would be for writing on. Any recommendations for something that might work better?
