Are kids more indulged/ spoiled now then they were 20?

BQ- would you buy your child an iPhone?

When we were teens there were no such things as cell phones, computers, ipods etc… If you wanted to talk to someone you had to use an actual phone, as for music there were what are now extinct Tape recorders, spoiled that's an understatement. Will I buy my stepdaughter an iPhone? ( NO )

Candy yes they are, they seem to get way to much to easy, in my day it was out on my bike having fun and enjoying my self, most kids don't even leave the house to play now, they have all what the want and need in the house,

Yes! Kids nowadays have computers with internet and cool programs and PVRs to record their favourite shows! So UNFAIR.

BQ: no but my kids do share an iPad. Guess who didn't have an iPad when she was their age? Yes that's right- Me! Like I said, So UNFAIR!

Most definitely. My kids had to work at part time jobs like paper boys, Saturday work etc. To finance the things they wanted. Nowadays kids seem to think it's their undeniable right to have have have, all the time to keep up with their peer group!

You can argue either way. We didn't have that tech back then so that is why years ago kids didn't have all that/ The other side of it is that back then parents want their kids to be outside, productive, and not spoiled. In my opinion I think that kids today are a little more spoiled, I think even if we had the tech and it was affordable back then parents would not let the kids have the tech. I think today people are more spoiled with all these gadgets.
