Are there any apps for the iPhone like gimp, paint.net or photoshop?

I don't have a laptop and I want to know if there are any apps like these

Yes, try doodle buddy. It isn't as advanced as gimp or paint.net, but it still makes cool pics. You can also draw with a friend, which is nice. And for photoshop, just download photoshop mobile (or watever its called: P)

If you go to the app store and search "paint" will find lots of results like what you are looking for.

You won't find apps that have the power of those computer softwares. The norm of iPhone photo editing apps is like adjusting brightness and adding filters. Photoshop Touch (NOT Photoshop Express, very different) is the closest you can get, but it's like $5 on iPhone. I use it on iPad and I like it a lot. Kind of hard to learn, but once you watch a few tutorials, it's a breeze. For basic editing, Aviary is quite good. Apple's own iPhoto (but… $5, again) isn't bad either, but it's a bit pricey for what you get. Type "clone" into the app store search bar and there should be this camera app that lets you clone yourself in photos which is quite cool. Play around with different apps. Experiment by flipping and rotating photos and putting them together.

You have to realize that the functionality of mobile image editors is limited compared to desktop versions, so you will have to temper your expectations.

Personally, I use the following apps on my iphone:
Camera Plus Pro
PhotoStudio
PixPlayPro

And several "one-trick-pony" apps that do only one or two things but do it well, or fast, or are just plain fun to use, like Phoster (for quick posters), Camera Flash for quick built-in effects, Toon Paint for posterizing, PicFrame for borders and frames, and a whole mess of color tools like ColorOven, ColorWise, ColorChooser, etc.

Some people also swear by PhotoGenie, PhotoToaster

Type in "image editor" into the search. They are all there!

Obviously there's nothing like as complex as GIMP or Photoshop, just simple apps.

  • What's an app on the iPhone that is like photoshop? I want an app that you can kind of put together pictures NOT LIKE INSTAGRAM. Like photoshop for the computer. I don't care how much it costs just please tell me if there's an app like that
