AUX In car stereo help needed?

I have just got a company car which unfortunately does not have an 'AUX In' port on the built-in stereo. I want to play my Spotify songs from my iPhone on the stereo but it seems the only way I can do that is by using an FM Transmitter which I have but very often the reception is awful and I can't listen to it. Does anyone know of a device or adaptor that I can get that I can connect to the car's USB port that acts as a AUX In port at the other end or am I stuck with the FM Transmitter situation?

First of all, if you don't have Spotify premium, you can't choose playlists and songs to play; only radio stations. You can try plugging your iphone usb cable into the car usb port. If you don't have one, it's part of your charger, unplug the cable from the adaptor. Also, I have this device that you plug one end into the headphone jack and you put the other thing in the tape reader. I know newer cars don't have tape readers though, and this would not work with a similar cd strategy.

Yes there's there's a oem adapter kit which is car specific and you have to wire it so if that is not an option the fm is your only option

You could buy a simple analoug adapter for your phone, it basically lets you tune into your phone over the radio. And there cheap

  • Why does my car stereo make a clicking sound when I charge my iPhone? I just bought a certified preowned 2009 Mazda Mazda3 hatchback. Whenever I plug my charger into my iPhone while it's connected to the aux input I hear a repeating clicking sound through my speakers. The clicking gets faster and slightly higher in pitch as I push the accelerator. What's going on?
  • Pioneer DEH-2400UB car stereo, iphone accessibility? I've been watching some reviews online, and it seems as if everyone is using a specialised cable to plug their iphones or ipods in that isn't the standard one you get from apple, i was wondering if you can jus simply plug the standard one that apple gave you into the stereo and if that will work?

  • Iphone won't play music through car stereo anymore? When I used to plug my iphone into the USB port in my car stereo, i could play my music through it. All of the sudden, it stopped working. The song title will scroll on the screen like its playing but no sound will come out. I made sure that the volume was all the way on and its not the cord because when i play Pandora, it works, just not my music. It won't even work if i try using the old headphone jack cord that i used to use.
