Pioneer DEH-2400UB car stereo, iphone accessibility?

I've been watching some reviews online, and it seems as if everyone is using a specialised cable to plug their iphones or ipods in that isn't the standard one you get from apple, i was wondering if you can jus simply plug the standard one that apple gave you into the stereo and if that will work?

Why don't you plug it in and see if it works? The worst that could happen is it not work. But it will not hurt your stereo or ipod

Pioneer DEH-2400UB Pioneer DEH-2400Ub AM/FM/CD Player With USB/Iphone®/Ipod®/Mp3/Wma Playback is a bargain for an entry level until now amply featured head unit. Has a set of pre-outs for a sub but if you're looking to operate a 4 channel, I would paint a picture a unit with 3 pre-outs…

  • Why does my Pioneer car deck skip? I have a DEH-X6500BT. When I use it for Pandora, it doesn't skip, but when I plug my iPhone into it (or use the bluetooth connectivity) it will start playing a song for a while (usually around a minute and thirty seconds), and then I hear a whoosh, the song gets muffled, and it skips to the next song. What's up with this?
  • Why does my car stereo make a clicking sound when I charge my iPhone? I just bought a certified preowned 2009 Mazda Mazda3 hatchback. Whenever I plug my charger into my iPhone while it's connected to the aux input I hear a repeating clicking sound through my speakers. The clicking gets faster and slightly higher in pitch as I push the accelerator. What's going on?
  • Rear ports in a Pioneer deh-1850 radio? I got this car radio/CD player for free and noticed it has red and white inputs in the back, and i was wondering if i'm able to connect it with a music player (iPod/iPhone) So far i have tried 2 audio cables and they haven't connected with my phone. Do i need a different type of cable?
  • Problem with my Pioneer stereo system in my car? I have a Pioneer stereo system in my RAV4.It works great with the radio and with CDs, but when I have my iPhone plugged into the auxiliary input, the sound only comes out of the right side. I have replaced the cable several times so I know my cable isn't the problem. I've also tested other devices, so I know it's not just my phone either. Anyone know what the problem is? Any help is appreciated!
