Been victim of scam and now owe thousands?

Hi. I'm embarrassed enough so please be kind lol. I have been the victim of a scam. I answered an ad to sell iPhones for a person on eBay. I sold 13 phones and stupidly sent this man the money. I now have reason to believe he has just taken money and not going to send phones. I know I should have saw through this scam but unfortunately I didn't till it was too late. Obviously I will be working with eBay buyers to put though claims but once PayPal had refunded money I will be thousands in debt (my fault I know)

Will PayPal take me to court for the money and will I be able to explain to judge that I don't have the money so that it can be added onto my debt management plan I have with a company.

Paypal will sue you in civil court to recoup the losses. If they believe you may have been part of a scam they can also call the police to have you arrested
So before you do anything go to the police to report that you are the victim of a scam that stole your money

Report it and take any papers they sent you or any contracts you had the buyers sign. I think it won't come out good for you but I would sure try.

Report it at once to PayPal, eBay and the police. Do it now.

You already have a debt management plan in place?

There's no helping you is there?

If you don't have the money they can't take money from you, so it will be added to your debts.
