Best laptop for me? Highschool student?

I'm a sophomore in high school and about to take an independent study. The glitch asus family laptop isn't really going to cut it. I was wondering what type of laptop would be best for me. I would mainly be bringing it back and fourth to school so a flimsy one wouldn't work too well. I would be writing a lot of papers and doing research. On my free time I watch a LOT of youtube and occationally play games. I also take a video making class so a computer that handle that as well ould be nice as I know some computers glitch and lag a bit when trying to insert/edit large video files.price is not too big of a deal but something under $1000 would be nice: P also I have never used a mac before however I do own an iphone so if that would somehow make my life easier… I don't know: P

You can get a basic MacBook Air for $999, or a better one if price isn't a big deal. Macs are easy enough to get used to, and before you listen to anyone criticizing Apple, this is coming from someone who knows a fair amount about computers, I built my own desktop that's about 4x as powerful and half the price of my sister's new MacBook Air, yet I'm still jealous. The design can't be beat, they're user friendly, have a great trackpad (something often overlooked when comparing laptops!) and despite the low processing power, they run fast most of the time thanks to their PCIe SSDs. They're also quiet and have great battery life.

Basically, if you can afford it, a MacBook is the way to go! And you can even install Windows on it if you want.

If you can bear Mac book pro worth than go for it, other wise x p s series is too good and more if you wanna save up your money than look at here under $400

If you have not tried Mac yet than you go for it. Because Macbook Air is just perfect for any of the student because of its good portable size which you must have as a student so that you can carry it with ease. Secondly it performs really well and also its 11 inch version is under your budget as well. Thirdly there are many of the students who are using it and they are pretty much satisfied from this laptop as a student. Here is one of a helpful review which I find very good and will help you in making the decision:

Also as I have mentioned that it performs really well which you can assess from the review above and also from the features of this laptop. Its features include Up to 9 Hours of Battery Life, OS X Mountain Lion. A good 1.3 GHz Dual-Core 4th-Gen Intel Core i5 Processor (Turbo Boost up to 2.6 GHz). 11-Inch LED-backlit Display; 1366x768 Resolution; Intel HD Graphics 5000. 128 GB Flash Storage and 4 GB 1600 MHz LPDDR3 Memory. And it has Line voltage 100-240V AC.

So I think this is a really good choice for a student who need to work alot as a student and perfect for other stuff as well. So I would recommend this version of Macbook Air to you.

I would like to suggest you Dell or HP laptop from there

  • Where can I watch Ouran Highschool Host Club English dubbed episode 14? It also needs to be able to play on an iPhone 4, so I can't either download it or use Flash Player. And also Please make sure it's English dub! Thank you for helping. I also would appreciate if the site was free. I can't watch it on Funimation because I think you need Flash Player for that, so please don't suggest that.
  • What's A Student Plan? (Rogers)? I want to get an Iphone 5, I have about 300 dollars, and I saw that at Future Shop they're selling Iphone 5's for 179.99 for the 16gb model. My dad gives me a monthly allowance of 50 dollars, so I'm hoping that this so called student plan can help me out with the monthly expenses. I'm in grade 12 also.
  • What's the best laptop for an incoming college student? I'm going to college this fall and I'm torn between a laptop like the dell xps 13 or the Macbook air 13'. I really like the touchscreen option for the dell, but I like apple products, even though I've only ever used an iPad and iPhone. I might use products like photoshop and blendr for fun. I'm so torn. Are MacBooks easy to get used to? Is a touch screen helpful? Which laptop do I get?
  • What's the best camera for a college student? I'm looking for a decent camera under $250 for college. I don't really like using my iPhone as a camera because the pictures aren't great. My main priority is low-light. I don't need a lot of features, just a good camera that takes nice pictures, especially in low-light. Right now I'm leaning towards the Sony Cybershot DSC WX150 (slightly above my price range) or a Canon Powershot 510.
