What's A Student Plan? (Rogers)?

I want to get an Iphone 5, I have about 300 dollars, and I saw that at Future Shop they're selling Iphone 5's for 179.99 for the 16gb model.

My dad gives me a monthly allowance of 50 dollars, so I'm hoping that this so called student plan can help me out with the monthly expenses.

I'm in grade 12 also.

You can't use a plan unless you are 19 years of age,

If you are younger you have to get your parents to sign it in your name.

$50 allowence won't cut it, after taxes it will cost you nearly $60.

The 50$ plan does not include caller display, if you get a call you may not know who it is, you won't even have a number display, it will merely say unknown.

My advice?

Try getting a part time job and requesting for a family plan, if you do this you can get it much cheaper and you can sign up in your parents name, however keep in mind this will cost the entire family a set price, i'd negotiate the terms with your parents

  • What's the best camera for a college student? I'm looking for a decent camera under $250 for college. I don't really like using my iPhone as a camera because the pictures aren't great. My main priority is low-light. I don't need a lot of features, just a good camera that takes nice pictures, especially in low-light. Right now I'm leaning towards the Sony Cybershot DSC WX150 (slightly above my price range) or a Canon Powershot 510.
  • Rogers LTE data plan not Working on iPhone 5? Well my dad was going to cancel the contract but he decided to try the 3GB talk text and Internet data plan. But the problem is when I try to connect it to the data network, this message box pops up, saying:"Can't Activate Cellular Data Network. You are not subscribed to a cellular data service." I tried resetting network settings, but it didn't help.

  • Do I pay taxes if I'm an exchange student? With this I'm just saying like I buy a tshirt or an iPhone (which obviously has a tax) and I'm not an American citizen, do I still have to pay those taxes to the government? I mean, I'm paying taxes with everything I buy, but is there any way I can get the tax value back if I have the receives?
