Best student laptop? Read for details?

Needs to for sure be THIN. Also lightweight is a plus but the thin part means more. Basic photo editing, google docs, slide show, surfing the web. Would like good screen quality with videos. Also I do use iTunes+my iPhone so is it only Apple computers that work good with that stuff? Our larger Dell at home is SLOWER THEN A TORTOISE at running iTunes… I don't want anything smaller then 12-13inches. Thanks! (Obvious budget top is $1200 ish but that's the TIPPY TOPPITY TOP)

Depending whether you like apple or windows… If you like apple i say go for an mac air. If its windows i say get those thin windows 8 touchscreen laptops in bestbuy
