Bought used iphone but has service from old user?
So I just bought an iphone 4 cdma (no SIM) from this dude, he has Sprint. Calls, web, his "sprint 3g" data works. Gets aroudn 2.5 mbps btw, but what should I do? It's only been one day since I had it so if he terminated the acc it could stop the service at the end of the month, but I want to make sure I'm not messing with his data limits etc.etc.
There's no reason to wait until it's not getting service, since you have to activate it on your own account anyway. Once you do that it won't be on his service anymore.
P.S. Since it's CDMA it'll only work on Sprint, or possibly with some other smaller CDMA carriers that can "flash" a phone.
This is why you check the ESN before you buy a phone.
No phone should be activated upon selling. Deactivation and activation are instant. No delays
- Why would an iPhone user suddenly be unable to text another i phone user? My husband and I have both have iPhones (through Verizon if it matters) and for the last week anytime he's tried to text me it doesn't go through.
- New iPhone won't get service but my older iPhone gets service? I just got a 6s and went to the Verizon store to get my upgrade. I used to have a 5s. My 5s is still getting service and my 6s is not. I turned off cellular data on my 5s and and made sure both data and LTE were working on my 6s but it still isn't working.
- Mortal Kombat X (Mobile): Is it possible for an android user to play against an iPhone user? I recently got it and I was wondering if we can play against each other that way because I want to play against a friend but don't know how?
- Is it true that your typical keyboard user should be able to type faster than the typical user that's communicating with a touchpad? I've been told that someone with a keyboard on average will be able to type faster than your typical user who uses a touchpad on their phone; however, I'm able to type at 90 words per minute on my iPhone, which generally reduces to about 75 whenever I type on a keyboard. So, which is the faster method for online chatting overall?
