Buying iPhone from a carrier?
Is it possible to walk into a store like Verizon or At&t and buy an unlocked iPhone without a plan? Are there any restrictions like age or credit? Can I simply buy an iPhone with cash?
You have to get a plan if you walk into a carrier store.
If you want an unlocked iPhone then get it from Apple directly. I think Apple only takes credit, debit, or Apple pay.
Not that I'm aware. The best you could get there would be an off contract phone, though those are still locked to their respective carriers. If you want an unlocked iPhone you'd have to check an Apple Store or of course there are the online order options.
- What's the difference between buying an iPhone through a carrier (At&t, virgin mobile, etc.) or Apple? And why are they sometimes cheaper when you buy it through the carrier? Like, why are iPhones so much cheaper through Virgin Mobile than through other carriers? Is there a difference in quality?
- What carrier would be best for any iPhone newer than the iPhone 4? I'm about to do some research but I'm hoping someone here already knows this. I want the cheapest unlimited talk, text, and data for two iPhones. Any information I failed to provide I will be glad to add.
- Switch from iPhone 6 to iPhone 6 plus on same carrier? So I just broke my iPhone 6 screen. My dad has his old 6 plus lying around (He got an s7 the other day). We both have Verizon. If I wanted to switch phones, but retain my phone #, could I just put my SIM card into his phone? Or is it more complicated than that?
- Is unlocking an AT&T IPhone 5 cheaper the buying a factory unlocked iPhone 5? Well first of all I want to know of I went to the apple store and bought an iPhone 5 for At&T then went on to unlock it for my tmobile service would I be saving money NOT buying a regular factory unlocked iPhone 5 or is my plan useless
