Calling from America to England?
Will it cost to call from my phone (IPhone5 AT&T) in America to England with the number +44 (0) 115 951 3680?
And if not, how do I dial that?
(It's to the University of Nottingham)
Yes you will be charged the long distance charge by the minute and the normal usage charge as well.
You should be able to just dial as normal if the number is in your contacts, cell phones usually have a function to add the required numbers when needed by themselves.
My husband phoned Canada from Switzerland without having to add the numbers from his iPhone recently and it went through with no issues.
Long distance charges are very high on a cell phone. Unless its urgent to speak your better off sending a text or email it costs way less.
- Will my iPhone camera and apps work in England? I'm going to England for 2 weeks on Tuesday and was wondering if the camera and apps will all work. I don't care about the phone or texting part. Its an iPhone 5 and I have Verizon btw. I'd like to put pictures on Facebook and Twitter/update status/tweet etc. From my phone as well without having to use a computer.
- Will my iPhone 4 work in England? I'm going overseas this summer and fall for studying, and was wondering if I can have a contract over there, keeping my same iPhone. My carrier is Verizon.
- Will I need an electrical/power adapter to travel to England? (I live in Canada)? I'm traveling to England next summer to visit some family for a month and I was wanting to bring my laptop and phone along with me. I have a Sony Vaio and iPhone 4 (I don't know if that makes a difference at all). If I need to get one, what type do I buy and where can I purchase one? Preferably not online.
- Why are iPhones so much more expensive in england than america? I was just browsing around on the Apple site, and I was having a look at the iPhone 5 when I realised that I was on Apple USA site not the UK, and switched to the UK site. The iPhone 5 on the US site said from $199 but when I went on the UK site it said from £529! That is like $788 dollars! Why the hell is the iPhone 5 (and basically any iPhone model/apple product) so much more expensive in the UK? 199 dollars and 788 dollars is a huge difference.
