Can a stolen/found iPhone be activated?
My friend found an iPhone and i want to buy it. Its on the AT&T network. If I put in a different sim card will I be able to use it? Would it make a difference if I jail break it? Any information will help.
No because maybe the user, reported the phone stoles, or lost and At&t probably has all the information, or also the iphone user could locate the iphone fast.
- Will Apple or AT&T be able to track my stolen iPhone 5 if I never activated it? Had iPhone shipped to my house and when I opened the box it was empty. Could have been FedEx or a neighbor due to it sitting outside my door for awhile.
- My iphone 4 was stolen and found, why would I have to pay pawn shop? My iphone 4 was stolen from a subway(Ocoee, Florida) restraunt since then it has been found pawned in a pawn shop in Orlando, Florida. I'm being told I have to pay $50 to get it back from pawn shop, is this right? Is this a law to protect pawn shops losses from accepting stolen property?
- If I buy an iPhone from someone's else, can they still report it stolen after I've already activated it? For example: if I buy a phone from a girl on Facebook, then go to T-Mobile and it's clean, not iCloud locked, not stolen, ready to be activated. Then I activate it. Can that person then report it? Even after it's already set up with T-Mobile as active
- I got an iphone 5. Found out it was stolen what should I do? I traded my ps3 for an iphone 5 but I found out it was stolen. I got a SIM card I gave the imei number and they told me its on tha black list or block list what is that? Can't I just activate the SIM card and put it on the iphone? If not then what can I do with the iphone?
