Can a virus from my pc get to iphone when i plug it in?
Can a virus from my pc get to iphone when i plug it in?
No, since IOS (iphone) and windows (PC) are coded differently, and thus not corss comptiable (a pc virus can't run on anyhting other than a windows based pc), and the security measure in place sandbox every app/process, so an app/process can't modify the system
It depends on the virus, it probably won't effect the phone, but some viruses can replicate on storage.
they will create a copy of them self onto the phones memory card, the phone won't be effected by this virus, but when you connect the phone to another computer, that computer could get infected with that virus.

download and install a free antivirus program, you won't have to worry much about viruses then.
i would also recommend downloading and installing this, do a full system scan atleast once a month.

No… As platforms are different virus of one platform doesn't work on other
No, iphones are very secure and you can't get viruses on them like other phones. Actually almost all viruses today on phones are on android:
F-Secure, an anti-virus software producer, has released a report that details the saturation of malware content in mobile devices, and it turns out, Android platform was responsible for a whopping 79 percent of all malware intrusions. Android was also host to 96 percent of the intrusions in the fourth quarter alone.
It's unlikely, but not IMPOSSIBLE.
Viruses constantly mutate, and can transfer to any, repeat ANY connected device.
Cross contamination does occur occasionally even between different platforms.
FACT!
- Is there an anti virus or malware scan I can get on my iPhone 4? Is there an anti virus or malware scan for the iPhone 4 that I can get from the apple store? If so what's the name? Also is there something I can get to stop ads poppin up on games?
- If an iPhone somehow got a virus, what would stop that virus from spreading to the recovery image? If an iPhone got a virus, couldn't it just spread to the recovery image? I don't mean where you connect the iPhone to your computer and restore through iTunes. I mean the restore image that is actually on the iPhone.
- I have a iPhone and my safari froze when a pop up asked me to call this number to get rid of a virus so I don't know if I have a virus or no? So today I was looking for music online and this pop up came up and froze my browser and it asked me to call this number but I didn't and hit cancel and cleared my history and I restarted my phone cause it acted slow so I don't know if I have a virus or not
- Can the iPhone 5 get a computer virus? I was just looking around this website to see if I could watch a movie, and when I went to search it, it opened up 8 tabs and they kept moving and I couldn't stop them until just now (hope that makes sense). I'm scares it could have been a virus. Can iPhone 5 get viruses?
