Can an iPhone without a carrier be unlocked? - 1

I own an iPhone 4 which doesn't have a carrier, I checked online to which country it's from and it shows it's from USA and carrier shows (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint)
But on my setting there's no any of those carrier… So help me out guys coz I'm confused totally

You don't have a sim card in it. The sim card tells the phone what network it needs to run on. You'll have to call the carrier you want and ask for a sim card if you plan on getting it turned on.

You are missing a SIM card, did you notice that? It's not a bad thing. Unlocked iPhones never have a SIM card with them. (SIM card is what helps connect you to a carrier's network). So the iPhone was made FOR the USA but it does not have a carrier specified. So technically it's not using anyone's network because if it was, you'd be charged for the cost of data.

There's no SIM in it, which is why it wouldn't state anything as far as carrier is concerned. If that's what you meant, yes they can be unlocked. It would state it is from the US as it may be as well as the possible carriers AT&T, Verizon, Sprint as they sold the phone.

As far as getting it unlocked, the original carrier should matter. Try Chronic Unlocks regardless.
