Can i charge my iphone with a 12v battery and a car charger?
I'm going camping for 4 days and there will be no power where we're. Can i take a 12v car battery and hook up my iphone car charger to it to charge my phone? I just want to know if its possible and won't damage my iphone somehow, also what will happen when the car battery eventually starts loosing charge?
If you are going to put it in the outlet of the car, you could do it you would just need to turn on the car to charge the battery up when you are doing it
I would also turn it off as much as possbible because you are wasting gas in the car by recharging the battery and your buddies might not be happy if you ran out on the way back from your camp sight!

Yes, you can use a car battery. But you'll need a really big backpack and lots of "wheaties" to lug around a huge lead-acid battery.
Why not consider investing in a "clean" solar charger for your iPhone?

There's no danger to the iPhone. And practically any 12V battery should be able to provide enough current for much longer than 4 days.
