Can I make a call to Mexico from US for free using iPhone?

I have just basic Verizon wireless iPhone 5 plan. No added international things in bill or anything… I wanted to talk to someone in Mexico over phone for free… How can I do that? Please please please help! (Not Skype… )

  • IPHONE-when I make a phone call I can't hear the caller and the caller can't hear me? When I make a phone call I can't hear the caller and the caller can't hear me. Also, when i try to put it on speaker, it goes off speaker in a couple seconds. I can't even hear the dial tone or the voice box if a person doesn't answer. - my volume is all the way up - i don't have my phone on do not disturb or airplane mode
