Yes. As long as the network is compatable. You can use sprint or AT&T, but not Verizon or T-Mobile.

Only CDMA prepaid like Boost and Virgin.

You have to have someone flash it to another CDMA carrier (wireless providers will not do it).

Check Craigslist for someone that flashes CDMA phones in your area. Most charge around $65 to do it.

Which prepaid mobile network in the US allows you to tether your iPhone? I've been looking at Virgin, who offer uncapped data on month-by-month plans, but it's not clear if they allow you to tether your iPhone (AKA use it as a 'personal hotspot'). Any suggestions?

Iphone on at&t prepaid network? I have the iphone 4 and I'm on the prepaid network for at&t. I was getting the 250 min and buying the 1g of data for $25 each. But they just recently changed everything and made it so the actual packages are better deals i think its $60 now for 500 min and 2 gigs. I was just wondering do the packages even work if you buy them? Or what do you suggest.
