Can I setup my iphone 7 without a sim card when I buy it SIM free?
I'm aware that unlocked iPhones need functioning sim cards to be activated however, apple released a SIM-Free iPhone and I was wondering if it works the way an unlocked phone does at first when bought or can I set it up without having to use a sim card and just use the phones features (pretty much like an iPod)

SIM free iPhones are unlocked iPhones. The SIM free just refers to the fact they don't come with one.
You need a SIM to set up any iPhone because it is a phone.
You'll need a SIM card to activate the phone, you can't use it without activating the phone.
I thought you couldn't be Apple seems to think you can use it as a Wi-Fi only device (iPod Touch) without one.
