Can I Sync my iMessage from iPhone to my new Mac with the new OSX Mavericks?

I never had this option before I had Mountain Lion or something even older before, but now I have a new notification center from the update. Will my mac be able to receive iMessage and me reply from my Mac or iPhone? I know you can but I don't have that icon anywhere I can see, My mac software says OS X 10.9 and is from Mid 2010 if that helps

Yes to put it quite bluntly, you can.

  • Update to OSX Mountain Lion? Hi! So I got my hands on an iPhone 5 recently and I wanted to back it up and add songs so I plugged it into my Mac. Then it said that my iTunes version was too old and to update, i need to update the OSX since I'm currently running on 10.5.8. I'm considering buying Mountain Lion but will it DELETE MY FILES? Read some stuff online about "backing it up"? How do you do that exactly, without iCloud?
  • Should i download mavericks os x? I have a mac book pro version 10.5.8 i have ios 7 on my iphone my itunes isn't up to date because my computer isn't up to date, therefore it won't let me plug my phone into my computer. i've heard some bad tings about mavericks. Should i get it or just get mountain lion. i really only care about getting my itunes to work.
  • Remove DRM from itunes (Mac OSX Snow Leopard)? I moved from an Iphone to a galaxy nexus. Almost everything I bought on Itunes refuses to transfer due to DRM. I've tried Requiem to no success, FairPlay didn't work either. I don't have a ton of CDs sitting around so is there another way to remove this? I also do not want to spend $35 on some of this software that allows a "free trial" for songs less than 3 minutes long. Please Help. Apple is a cruel cult that is trying to suck me back in
