Can I track a sprint iPhone 4s?

I lost my iPhone 4S for sprint, it has a SIM card so I'm guessing that whoever found it took it out, either that or the phone is off. I call and it sends me straight to voicemail. It's been gone for a few days. I want to know if the person who found it happened to restore it and take the SIM card out, can I still track it even though it is set as a brand new phone? I wat to see if I can before I call sprint and take it off my plan.

Like I tell anyone who lost a phone on an carrier… If you FAILED to get a lost/stolen GPS tracking app installed on your smartphone, then you will NEVER see that phone again. No IFs ANDs or BUTs… Sprint/ATT/Verizon/ETC will not track lost phones. The police will only recover your phone if they arrest someone on an unrelated charge who just happens to have your phone in their pocket

If you were smart and installed a GPS tracking app first thing when you got the smartphone, then follow instructions the app gave you to recover your phone.

1. Immediately report the loss to the police and Sprint. The carriers have agreed to maintain stolen phone lists - it isn't likely to get your phone back, but might prevent another US User from using the phone. You'll need the serial number of your phone. (I screenshoted mine and keep it in the photo stream, but you might find it on the original box or on your Sprint receipt.) If the phone is recovered in a cache of stolen phones (not likely) the police could return it to you.

2. If you did not turn on "Find My Phone" in the settings on your phone then you're out of luck for tracking it. If you did, then you should be able to open that app on anyone's iDevice and using your iTunes ID/PW, track your phone.

Since your phone was a Sprint phone there's less chance it got immediately shipped overseas due to incompatible networks.
