Can i turn off my modem and router with a ECO green power strip?
(Power surge protector) Actually. I have an ECO 'green' energy saving power strip, that's connected to my HDTV, AppleTV, Subwoofer; so basically when i turn off my HDTV, everything else turns off too -- but i want to ADD my modem & router to the power strip too -- to conserve energy at night or whenever i'm NOT online -- BTW, i don't have a PC, i used my iphone to configure evrything (without) a PC. Anyways, i have a motorola surfboard 6141 (white model) and the NEW 6G apple airport extreme router -- will i damage them by turning them off via power strip?
No, that will not damage them.
you will, of course, have to wait a couple of minutes while they reboot when you power them back up.
