Can I upgrade early/cancel my contract?
Hi, I got a blackberry in April and it was really not what i was looking for. I want to upgrade to the new iphone 5s but i still have another long year and a half on my current contract. I went on the vodaphone website and asked them and they sad it was possible and they would call me. They never did. So we went into a vodaphone store and only there they said there was no possible way of upgrading early and i would have to wait another year and a half.surely there's some way to? Should i cancel my current contract and start another one? Should i ask again? Or should i just eave vodaphone and go to another phone company? Does anyone on here have some information they could tell me? I don't really want to buy the iphone and just put the sim card in because it is 550 pounds or something!
Hiya.
Canceling your current contract would incur an Early Termination Fee which is calculated as your monthly line rental cost (before VAT) multiplied by the number of months remaining minus 2%.
Therefore, a line rental of £30 per month with 6 months remaining would have an Early Termination Fee as follows:
£24 x 6 = £144 - 2% = £141.12

Re: Early Upgrades
Vodafone currently allow customers to upgrade 75 days before the end of their contracts… Which is obviously quite a long way off in your case.
Personally, I'd make do with the Blackberry until then.
- What is the different between full upgrade and early upgrade? So AT&T said I qualify for a early upgrade on my iPhone now but I quality for a full iPhone upgrade in october. What is the difference?
- Verizon upgrade date? Any way to upgrade early? So today I went to the Verizon store to get the new iPhone 6. It came to 399, and everything was cool. But then, they realized I couldn't upgrade phones until March of 2016, and that if I still wanted the phone, it would come too around 800 dollars. So I was like yeah no thanks, and I left, all bummed out. So I was wondering if there's any way I could get the iPhone but, not for that outrageous price?
- Is there a way to get sprint to let you upgrade early from a 2 year contract? I have 2 iPhone SE's I got with sprint for free with a 2 year contract. It will be exactly a year i've had the contract in june this year and my contract does not end until june 2018. I've been having problems with the phone getting over heated and shutting off. I want to uprgrade to a iPhone 7 with financing. Everytime I call they tell me with a attitude to either wait another year or pay a $350 termination fee for each device.
- If i buy a iphone online, can i activate it without paying the early upgrade fee? I have AT&T. Actually, it doesn't need to be an iphone… I'm possibly looking into getting an HTC or something smiler…
