Can I use another companies iPhone 5 and switch it to Verizon?
My boyfriend is able to get me an iPhone 5 for 300 that his friend is selling buts its another company I think it's an AT&T not sure but I have Verizon could I activate it to my Verizon
No you can't… If you call verizon they will tell you the same thing… Matter fact they would probably laugh at you. So no… Any iphones sold for at&t could only be used on at&t & on T-mobile since it GSM… Verizon uses CDMA Technology.sorry
YES, you can
ignore the people that say "its GSM" and "its CDMA"
the iPhone 5 is a WORLD PHONE, and will work on any GSM or CDMA network
you need to get the phone unlocked, then you need to go to Verizon and ask for an LTE SIM card. Once you install it, it will be working with Verizon.
If it's AT&T, you can't use it on Verizon.AT&T is GSM and uses SIM while Verizon is CDMA and doesn't use a SIM. So your boyfriend will be wasting money. Ask him if he can get hold of Verizon iPhone 5.
- I want to switch my old Verizon phone to a Verizon iPhone. How would I do that? My old phone is one if the small slide phones that red and black and the screen broke. I want to switch it to an iPhone I got from a friend. How do I do this?
- I have a verizion iphone 4, if i unlock it with what companies can i use it with? My contract was over with Verizon so I'm trying ways to still use my iPhone with other companies because i do not want to buy another phone.
- How do I use a different companies SIM card in an iPhone? My parents got me an iPhone 6 for Christmas this year and were told it was unlocked, but after putting in the SIM card, we found out it wasn't. So when I went to see who the carrier was, so we could get it unlocked, it said it was the carrier we use. Anyone know what's going on?
- Do most global and big companies (fortune 500) now use OSX (apple) instead of Microsoft? I just noticed that most companies and people on wall street are using macbooks and imac(s) in their work place instead of microsoft running laptops and computers, in addition many use the iphone instead of android phones. Does this mean that apple is much more easy to use, more reliable? More stable? I mean ofcourse, considering the costs, I don't think they would invest in such machines right? So there must be really something about them.
