Can i use apple earpods on windows 8 to record sound?
I just built my new computer. I want to be able to record sound for youtube videos and talk on skype but i can't get the apple earpods with microphone that came with my iphone 5 to work. Is there a way for it to work. Do i have to get a headset. Please help me. Thanks
BTW i have an ASrock Z77 Extreme 4 motherboard and Nvidia GTX 770 with an i5 3570K (if it matters)
Added (1). And putting it in the headphone or Mic port dosent work.
Added (2). All the input ports
Added (3). What's a record port anyway
Yes most headphones of good quality can go this, you may find you need to speak very close to the earpiece, Put the headphone in the record port and press record.
You will probably need the headset, as PC Mics either work through the microphone jack, or through USB. Your motherboard and graphics card don't matter (though it is a very, very nice build), so long as there's onboard sound, which even the cheapest motherboards include these days.
If you plan to be doing a lot of Youtube, get a proper mic, rather than a headset. Quality microphones do not cost much, and will give a much better sound than any headset microphone. If there's one thing I can't stand, it is someone trying to commentate through a lousy Turtle Beach headset.
If you feel the need to get a good headset, do not go with Turtle Beach, as they are fragile, and low quality. Instead, go with Razer (not great quality either, but cheap, and the mic is okay), Astro (very expensive, but incredibly good sound, and fairly good microphone), or Tritton (cheap, good sound, fair mic, but somewhat fragile).
Other solutions include getting a good Mixamp (the Astro A40 mixamp has always been good to me), a good microphone that uses the microphone jack, and a quality pair of headphones. Good headphones are much cheaper than good headsets. Get a cheaper model of Pioneers or Sennheisers, a good mixamp, and a good mic, and you'll have a great setup for Youtube, Skype, and gaming.
- Will Will Apple earpods work with iPhone 4? I'm planning to get Apples new earpod headset. A lot of people are complaining that the sound changes by itself while in use of the earpods. Has this happened to you? Also, I want to know if the remote and mic will work with iPhone 4. ALSO i need to know how it works out with running! I like to run and some people say that sweat gets into them and wrecks them. I'm not an extremely sweaty person though.
- Why does my earpods sound better with laptop? Why? The laptop gives more bass and a better sound than my ipod touch 5 gen. I just bought my ipod touch 5 and its not fake and the jack also don't have a problem! I checked the earpods with the iphone 5 also the sound is the same as my ipod touch 5 so tell me any reasons shoudnt the ipod give more good quality sounds than laptops? or because the laptops more powerful than an ipod touch?
- What app can I use to change the sound of my voice in videos I record? I have a android internet tablet. I want to make videos but I need an app that changes the voice to a chipmunk for example. I want to use Tre Melvin's videos or Freddy_E's video's on youtube as an example. I' ve looked around an just can't find what I'm looking for. An app like the voice changer camera but for android NOT ipad/iphone.
- Snapchat won't record sound, but my phone gets sound on videos? Okay, summoning all the tech detectives here. For months, my Snapchat records a very muffled (almost like its underwater) sound, but you can't reallt hear it. I can't explain it, but the sound is inaudible and muffled. The weird thing is, the problem is only and exclusively on Snapchat. If I record a phone video, the sound is clear as day. I have an iphone. Any thoughts?
