Can i use my Iphone in america?
I'm going on holiday to america on sunday and i want to know if i can use my phone whilst i'm over there. I recently went to portugal and my phone was completely useless, it said no service the whole time. This time i'm going to to call my orange and get them to change it but can i still use imessage without any extra cost to my phone bill.
You did not specify so I have to assume that your service provider is Orange. You can buy a new SIM card in US whose network is compatible (i.e. GSM) with Orange and most importantly your Iphone is unlocked.
Probably not. Unless of course your carrier has some type of agreement with a United States carrier.
imessage works off Wi-Fi; you don't need to worry about that.

- Should I buy an Iphone 5s from America and use it outside of America? An Iphone s where I live costs around $600.In America it costs around $199 plus a $70 year contract so it seems more reasonable to order it online from America. If I order it from America what would I need to do and what should I know before ordering an Iphone from America and using it in another country? Besides unlocking the phone, what else do I need to do?
- If you buy an iPhone in America, can you use it to get service in Japan? And vice versa? I'm moving to Japan and i'm wondering if i should wait to go there to buy an iphone 5, but then they might not let me trade in my iphone 4 which is from America.
- If i give someone in China an iphone bought in America will they be able to use it? I want to give someone in China an iphone as a gift. But i'm wondering if they'll be able to use it there? Like to sign it up with one of their phone carriers or something.
