Can I use my old sim card in an unlocked iPhone 4s or 5?
I'm thinking about buying an unlocked iPhone on the Apple website. If I did, could I use my old sim/contract/plan in the iPhone? My current plan is the family plan with 550 minutes for $60 and unlimited text messaging for $20 on one line. I like my plan, so I just wanted to see if it is possible to take my old sim and insert it into an unlocked iPhone. This way, I could avoid all data plan costs because I have Wi-Fi almost 90% of the time around me!
Would that be like illegal or anything? Is it possible? Also, which one is better? IPhone 4s or 5?
Yes of course you can, it's not illegal! Le 4s is like the 5, the 5 has got a bigger screen.
- Will cutting my sim card work to use as a micro sim card? I just ordered an iPhone 4 and I need to cut the sim card to make it a Micro sim. Will it affect it. I have seen a bunch of video and already have the template it for it. I'm using simple mobile. Do you know if anything wrong happen to it?
- Old iPhone with old sim card? Mum just got a new iPhone, so gave her old one to my sister. My sister did not have an appropriate sized sim card, so they guy at the store cut it down. Mum's new sim card is working, but when we put my sisters in the old phone, it just keeps saying no service. What do we do? Can we use it or not?
- If I buy a new iPhone, can I take the SIM card out of my old iPhone and use that? I just want to upgrade to a 5S (from a 4S) . My plan is on Straight Talk & I want to purchase the phone from the actual online Apple store.
- How can I use an old iPhone without a SIM card? My iPhone 5s doesn't have a SIM card for it anymore and it won't let me access the Internet. Would I be able to take it to a Verizon store to get them to put a SIM card in just to set it up?
