Can i use my old sim card on my new phold?

I got a new iphone and i just wanted to know if i can just use my sim card from my old phone and just put right into my new phone and have the same number and everything. Can i do this or do i have to go to my carrier and get a new card?

SIMs come in three sizes. Most newer phones use micro or nano sizes. Your old SIM may fit in your new phone. Nowadays, many allow you to "punch out" the smaller SIM from the larger one. If you can't make the SIM fit, you could have it trimmed down, or get a replacement from your wireless carrier.

Once the SIM is transplanted to your new phone, it should work without problems. If you don't get any internet connection, you may need to provide the APN (access point name) settings. Google to find out how to do this, if necessary.

If the iPhone is either locked to your carrier or unlocked & the same size or you don't mind cutting it down to that size, then yes you could use it fine.

If not, you could have your number transferred over to another SIM.

NB SIM cards only contain the number. Everything else on the phone is on the phone's storage.
