Can someone else see your text conversations (iPhones)?
We have a family plan - there are three cellphones. My dad is the primary holder of the account. We're wondering if he can see our text messages from other people. I believe we all have different Apple ID's but he has said things that are in our conversations which we find strange.
I noticed on my iPhone, under the iCloud setting, I'm logged in with my email. At the top it says "No family information available at this time." I don't know if I should sign out of that?
Can someone else see your text messages?
Nope
Depends on how the account is set. My young son is on our family plan, and I see his texts. He doesn't have the ability to alter that from his phone. So if you have an inclination to describe to your boyfriend what you want to do to him this weekend, I'd reconsider.
I'm the primary account holder in our family. I can see all of the phone numbers that anyone else calls or send texts to or gets texts from, but I can't see the messages themselves.
That may well be different on other systems or plans.
Nonetheless, the text message contents ARE on the servers of the phone service provider and can be retrieved if legally requested… So, DON'T send stupid or incriminating messages.
- Why can't i see gps metadata from someone's else photo? I read about this in Mark Goodman's book:"Future Crimes" and i wanted to try if this actually works. It doesn't for me. I tried my iPhone photos (even turned on location accesses for camera) and i just can't see gps coordinates. Do you maybe know what is the problem?
- Using someone else's Wi-Fi on iphone, can they still see your app history? Yesterday I went to work with my friend and I used the places' Wi-Fi, I'm at home right now and no longer using their Wi-Fi, can they track my history and app history in my iphone even if I'm not using their Wi-Fi anymore?
- Is there anyway to see when someone has read your text message on an iPhone 5? I have an iPhone 5 and whenever my boyfriend texts me he knows when I've read it or not (that's a whole nother issue… ) and I wanted to know if I could know when someone saw/read a text I sent to them, like he has. How come other phones can do this? Isn't that a privacy issue?
- Is there anyway to receive someone else's iMessages but not letting them see your messages? I'm fully aware of the Send & Receive settings in the iPhone, but is there anyway of receiving my son's iMessages but not let his iPhone receive mine? We both share an Apple ID, I'm very suspicious of my son over the past few days, I would like to get his messages but not let him get mine.
