Can't receive pictures if cellular data is turned off AT&T?
I mainly use Wi-Fi as my data so I turn my cellular data off. When it's turn off I don't receive picture message from another non iphone user, like I receive picture messages from iMessage not from regular text message.
Picture messages are sent via MMS which uses the carrier's data plan.
MMS uses data which should be obvious because it doesn't work when you have data off.
- Will i be charged for texts on iPhone even though i turned off cellular data and enable 3G? I have turned off my cellular data and 3G believing that everything of texts web browsing etc. Is all based on Wi-Fi. I know imessage won't charge me even though i'm on Wi-Fi. However if i were to text someone who does not have an iphone and it isn't imessage will i still be charged? Because sending messages to them works with my cellular data and 3g off but will i be charged or even charged more since it is off?
