Can the verizon iPhone 5 be on straight talk?
I have verizon iPhone 5 & I already have the straight talk micro sim that I cut myself & I wanna know how do you know if it works when you put the SIM card in because it just says searching then no service & I have not yet called or give them the sims serial number is that the reason why it doesn't say 'HOME' p.s HOME is the carrier name? Help please & if you can help me text me 336-542-1322
The short answer, NO.
Verizon uses CDMA technology and Straight talk uses GSM. Sorry but they are not compatible with each other. The Verizon iphone has a cim so it can be used overseas, but will not work on straight talk, T Mobile, or AT&T in the US.
Get the phone factory unlocked and use it on StriaghtTalk. The phone's supposed to be unlocked but it seems that the phone isn't. You can mail this person (arghyle@rocketmail.com) who can help you get your iPhone factory unlocked.
