Can you activate an iphone for t-mobile without a sim card port?
My friend wants to sell me an iphone thats "factory unlocked". He says it doesn't have a sim card port for my T-mobile sim. He says that I can just take it to some place and activate it there's that possible?
The iPhone models without a SIM port are CDMA models for Sprint or Verizon. They can't be activated on T-Mobile, who uses GSM and requires a SIM port. Your friend is either misinformed or trying to scam you, because that phone will never work on T-Mobile, it's physically impossible.
