Can you buy usps insurance after you ship an item?

I sold a iphone on amazon and it has not shown anytracking since march 1st and i shipped it on february 28th. It has yet to show delivered Can I still buy insurance?

It is only a week. Did it go to another country or did you ship by Parcel Post? As long as you bought delivery tracking it will show up in the US You can't get insurance since you no longer have the package.

Unfortunately, no you can't at this point. But try not to get worried about it-it really hasn't been that long. I've done alot of selling on ebay, & often times there will literally be nothing on a package for days after I dropped it off, & then all of a sudden, it shows up in the system. Or I've had times when I've bought stuff, & literally there will be no updates for several days on the item, even when it's delivered. So this type of thing happens all the time. I know often times you'll see an update in one day on stuff, so you think in 3 days there should have been alot of updates, but this happens. Your package isn't sitting there, it's still in transit. Depending on where you shipped it & how you shipped it, it'll most likely be there soon.

No. That would be like buying life insurance after someone died… Or at least while they were in the ambulance to the hospital.
