Can you charge an iPod or iPhone on a united plane?

I'm sorry to say, but there are no outlets on the plane. The way I do it is to bring a charged laptop along with your charging cord. You can then insert one end into the USB drive in the computer to charge it. I have a IPod 6gen and it only charges off laptops when they are on but it may depend on what kind of iPod you have.

Hope this Helps!

If you are worried that your device will run out of juice on a long flight there are battery powered rechargers that you can get. What they are basically is a couple of batteries in a holder that you can plug a usb cord into. They'll usually take 4 AA cells to provide 6 volts to charge your device

Depends on the plane. Visit the Seatguru web site linked below and scroll down to the table that tells you which planes have seat power and which don't.
