Can you remove internal flash memory from a broken iphone?

If your iphone got broken and you want to make sure all your datas stored there will not be accessed by anybody, can you remove the internal flash memory? Or anything that has all your saved info, applications, messages, etc?

Well, you can. You have to disassemble it. A lot. There are guides on the internet. However, if it is broken, and you want the data to be inaccessible, just break it some more. Smash it. Destroy it. Completely.

  • Why hasn't internal memory on phones increased much? I got passed down an iphone 3Gs with a storage capacity of 32gb a number of years ago. Most pads don't seem to have too much more, and many phones of people I know come standard at 16gb. Considering the amount time that's passed, I would have thought that creating larger storage capacity for in a smaller space for cheaper would have taken more precedent, but as far as phones go, you still pay a decent premium for it.

The back camera on my iPhone 4s broke (just stopped working), so I called Apple and I have an appointment set up to replace the old phone with a brand new one. But, I want to know if when they give me the new phone, will they let me keep the old one? The phone still works fine except for the camera. In fact, it's almost perfect. And obviously I want to sell the old one on ebay to make a boat load.
