Can your computer give your iPhone 4 a virus?
I plugged my iPhone into my computer so I could use the 3G for Internet. As I was browsing I accidentally clicked an add on the side of youtube, this gave my computer a trojan virus. I un-plugged my phone as soon as I saw the warning message, but now nothing is loading on my phone, I keep getting a 502 proxy error. So, can my iPhone have a virus of some sort?
Yea I got a virus on my phone before and it was doing the same stuff urs is
The guy who said that he got a virus from his PC is pulling your leg as the Operating Systems and TYPE of browsers are DIFFERENT!
In Yiddish the call that G-ma tales!
Safari is a DIFFERENT type of browser to begin with!
Now, the iPhone as a FACT is THE SAFEST phone w/ the BEST Operating System (iOS) SINCE there are NO Spywares or viruses out there for iOS like other competitors: Android, Windows Phone, BB, etc…
When there are IF-ANY, RARELY, security-holes which are discovered right-away, Apple closes them with FREE updates for All the phones since iPhone 4 which is 4 generations back!
Till iOS 7, All updates were available to all the way to 3GS!
Try to Sync & Backup your iPhone through iTunes on computer & then Restore it through iTunes on computer!
Then, IF, that doesn't work & you have a Warranty, you can call Apple Care or walk into an Apple Store with Apple Geniuses to help you for FREE!
No competitor has ANYTHING-REMOTELY, competing with that!
Anything can get a virus. It just a matter if he virus was mad for Windows, Apple, Linux, exc. Or is it cross compatible. So to answer your question. Yes, it is possible to give your phone a virus.
- Will other computer be infected by virus through my iPhone 4 and iCloud? My old laptop (windows) have some virus, but I already delete it. And I reformat my laptop, and I have iTunes and connected to my iPhone 4. So if I buy a new laptop wether it is Mac or windows Will it be infected to a virus?
- When you give APPLE a defective IPHON do they give you a reconditioned one back? My IPHONE had a defect, still under warranty, so I took it to an Apple MAC store and after a few days they gave it back, supposedly repaired. Now the replaced IPHONE has a problem, different than the previous problem I'm now having a problem with the taking a photo. Do they just replace your phone with a reconditioned one they say no but?
- Is it possible to get computer virus on your iPhone if you use it to surf the net? What is the best way to get rid of computer virus on your cell phone? Would it be possible to install a miniature version of Malwarebytes onto iPhone to quarantine/delete computer virus?
- If an iPhone somehow got a virus, what would stop that virus from spreading to the recovery image? If an iPhone got a virus, couldn't it just spread to the recovery image? I don't mean where you connect the iPhone to your computer and restore through iTunes. I mean the restore image that is actually on the iPhone.
