Chemistry Mole Problems Help?!

For my project I haveto convert these problems in moles using conversion factors.

1) If you had a mole of iphones, how many would it take to fill up the United States?

2) If you had a mole of iphones, how many would it take to stretch to saturn and back?

If you can't do both you can just do one so I have a understanding on how to do this.

You know what a mole is, 6.022 * 10^23 of anything, be it atoms, molecules, cats or iphones.

For the first question, decide what you mean by 'fill up the US'. I'd look at the area of the US, do you want the area of all 50 states, just the lower 48? Neither is wrong, you just have to decide. Estimate the size of the iphone, that allows you to calculate the area of an iphone.

The area of the US (depending what you use) divided by the area of an iphone gives you the number of iphones to cover the US. Divide Avogadro's number by the number of iphones to cover the US to estimate the number of layers a mole of iphones would cover the US in.

For the second, measure or estimate the length of iphone. Look up the distance to Saturn from Earth, the distance to Saturn divided by the of an iphone gives you the number of iphones to cover the distance. Divide Avogardro's number by the number of iphones from Earth to Saturn to decide how many times you could cover the distance from Earth to Saturn if you had a mole of iphones.
