Did i wait to long to put my iphone in rice?
I dropped my iphone in a bathtub full of water. I quickly grabbed it (it was only in there for a couple seconds) and dried it off with a towel before turning it off and everything seemed to work fine except for the volume buttons. I turned my phone off then on again and still everything worked except for the volume buttons. I struggled opening a bag of rice but after about 2-4 minutes of struggle i finally got it open and put my phone in it, closed it and put it in a cupboard. Think i waited to long? Think my iphone will survive?
Rice will never get all the water out of your iPhone or any phone for that matter.
You were right in turning it off right way but oh so stupid in turning it back on again.
The best way to give your phone a fighting chance is to use 99% pure rubbing alcohol. Submerge your phone in it for about 10min. The alcohol will displace all the water inside the phone (were rice will never get). Take it out and let it dry for just one full day. The alcohol dries extremely quickly.
