Disabled iPhone and Find your iPhone app?
My iPhone was stolen, and I had it disabled so the thief wouldn't be able to use my phone to call/text. I was wondering if that would affect the "Find Your iPhone" app?
I assume by disableing you mean calling your carrier and disabling your service. This shouldn't have any effect on find my iPhone. But if the person disabled it already then you won't be able to locate it unfortunately.
- When find my iphone is disabled, what is displayed on other iPhones? My parents use the find my iphone app to track my phone, if I turn it off what do they see? Does it say it's turned off or does it just say it's at it's last location? I've heard both but I'm curious.
- My iPhone just got stolen and i didn't put on Find my iphone. Is there a way i can find it without find my iphone? I have found out that i can remove my iphone from associated devices. Does doing this erase the iphone?
- IPhone needs me to turn off Find My iPhone but Wi-Fi is disabled on the phone? Basically I have this old iPhone that I want to reset in case we ever need another phone. But the Wi-Fi is disabled, so I put in an old backup of my iPhone to see if it would fix it, to no fix. So I decided that I would just reset it completely, but now it needs Find My iPhone to be turned off to do so. Well I can't turn it off because Wi-Fi doesn't work and it's not on our wireless account and doesn't have data.
- If you disabled FindMyiPhone to restore your device, will the app be enabled again after the restore? A few weeks ago I upgraded to the iPhone SE and I restored the data from my iPhone 4s onto it. (I had to disable FindMyiPhone in the process). Little did I know that it would be lost/stolen 2 weeks later. Really need to know if FindMyiPhone would be enabled because I want to know if I still have any hope at all finding it. Thanks. I tried the app already… Says it's offline. Been waiting since.
