Do Europeans buy products that are made in China like people in the United States?

I keep hearing this thing across the internet and the media. "Why the f##k is everything we buy made in China?!" It's kinda true. Nearly everything we buy is made in china. Every product ranging from Iphones, TVs, Computers, Cameras, etc.

Be mindful that I live in the United States. My cousins and friends buy things that are made in China.

But what about Europeans? I live in a very small town, and I never got to talk to a person who lives in England, France, Germany, etc. And I wanted to ask them if they buy products in China.

Yes, They do the same things like people in US. The reason could be the same-Price or Saving.

IPhones are designed in the US, only assembled in China. And the lion's share of profits still goes to the US.

As an online mall that sells electronics and accessories globally (millions of USD annually), we mainly have customers from the US and Europe, a big chunk of over 60% in our sales pie chart, with European countries combined slightly bigger than the US. I'm attaching a picture of top 10 countries.

So Europeans buy made in China like Americans too.

I think China has advantages in manufacturing daily consumables. Huge population, low-price manpower for output of decent quality, and so forth. This is not going to change for a while.

  • Will I have to pay Vat on iphone? (from united states to ireland)? I'm a student studying abroad from the United States in Ireland, and I ordered the iphone 5 because I had the upgrade with my phone company there. I got it to delivered to my moms house in california. Now I'm wondering if she ships it to me as a gift, will I still have to pay VAT on it when it arrives? I'm not trying to pay like 200 *** dollars in VAT.
  • Why are products that are made in China always the lowest quality? For example, cheap 3rd party iPhone chargers. Or toys painted with a led based paint? What about products made in China for China?
  • What are the status symbols in the United States? I have to do a project about the Status symbols in the united states nowadays. For example in my country an iPhone is an status symbols because just the people who have lots of money can get it. I would like to know what inventions, objects, etc are the status symbols in the united states.
  • SimCard Activation for United States? I live in Canada and I'm planning to go to New York, My plan was to bring my phone device over there however I didn't want to do a international plan with my phone company as they are TOO EXPENSIVE! I wanted to get a "Pay As You Go" or "Cheap" plan with a SimCard just for ONE WEEK. Does anyone know which carrier I can do this with? And who supports the new IPhone 5 or IPhone in general? Also the phone company I'm with now is FIDO. Any suggestions?
