Do I have to pay for music on the Iphone 4S? - 1

I was thinking of getting the 4s but I'm confused about the music side of things. Do I have to pay for each and every song I want? I have at least 400 songs on spotify and would like them on my Iphone but I'm unsure of if I can have them for free. Sorry to sound like an absolute noob but how do I get the music onto my phone in the first place because I can't use windows media player to transfer to Iphone? That's what I'm confused about and I don't want to use any illegal software either

Yeah, usually songs are about $1.29.

No, you can always download music on the computer to your phone, from YouTube, and other websites

If you can transfer your 400 songs to your computer, then i'm pretty sure that you can transfer it to your iphone by using itunes.

You can download it on your PC or Mac and then go into itunes and transfer music to your phone. You don't need to buy any song, although you are supposed to lol, Pirating is bad but everyone does it anyway. You can use torrents to download music and then put it into itunes and plug your phone in and transfer music too it. Torrents arent illegal just downloading the music technically is. Honestly I have 20 000+ songs on my PC and If i Paid for all of them that would be aprox $15 000 - $20 000
Spotify streams music, so it is not actually on your phone. They let you listen to it but it isn't yours. Also be careful because spotify and other streaming services use mobile data and that can get expensive if you use a lot. If you are connected to Wi-Fi at home you won't have to pay.
If you want to pay for music, you can use itunes store on the iphone and buy it, or buy songs on itunes, or rip cd's to your pc and then put them into itunes and on your phone.
