Do iPhones have timestamps on when pictures were taken?

Suppose I were to go into court and be asked to prove that the picture was taken when I said it was taken. Is there a timestamp (either explicit or hidden) that I can refer to in order to prove the time the photo was taken?

Let's see I haven't used and iPhone in a couple of months, and if I'm not mistaken there's a timestamp on the photo but you need to.click on that photog and then go to that photos settings.

Not on the pictures themselves. If you transfer it to a computer or use an app like iPhoto that can read the EXIF data then that would show when & if you have geotagging on, where the picture was taken.

  • Will an examiner be able to tell the difference between pictures taken by the iPhone X or a DSLR camera? I'm doing GCSE photography and I have a really high quality moblie camera. However, I was instructed to use a DLSR camera. (Keep in mind when taking photos I will take them in the optimum conditions for iPhone cameras.) Do you think I could fake it?
  • Why does my iPhone photos show the places they were taken? I noticed that if someone sends me a picture and I save it to my photo album it'll show where the location the picture was taken at. Some of the pictures I take myself too will show the location in my album. I'm wondering exactly why it does this lol
  • Why do pictures taken of tv screens look so bad? Every once in a while I'll be playing a game on Xbox and it bugs out leaving a hilarious image on my screen, but every time I try to take a picture of my tv screen the quality is terrible. My friends can do the same thing with the same phone (iPhone) and I have a normal flat screen HDTV, but they're pictures look great, sometimes even amazing with a little patience of eliminating any jiggle when taking the picture. Why is this? Maybe my tv (LCD) needs to be updated to an led?
  • Why do I look different in pictures taken in the mirror? Compared to pictures taken of me or on my iPhone(front facing camera)? I find when I'm in front of a mirror taking a pic I look different. Is it because of the refection? And which one looks more like me? I'm guessing the one taken in front on the mirror?
