Do you agree people are materialistic?

I've traveled around nearby towns and I've seen people carrying Michael kors bags, huge brand watches, Louis, ray bans and all in work clad neighborhood. Yet there are people who are renting small portions or houses there. Even Instagram all you see is apple freaks and people who brag about their designer stuff. More people are acting like the iphone is what gave them life. And then you hear people say they are in recession lol

As soon as people make money, they almost always become materialistic

Some are and some aren't

I'd say yes most are, but there are those few (like me) who doesn't buy into being materialistic.

I was once upon a time when I was married then I left him and he kept everything including my car and cat. I learned that things are things and can always be replaced and what matters most in this world is to have a good soul and love your family and friends unconditionally.

We live in a time of extreme Materialism. We have so much, and yet we complain about the most trivial things. Depression is on the increase, satisfaction on the decline- and yet we have never enjoyed so much wealth. It's not healthy.

It really depends on the person. A lot of people who are poor are materialistic because they are in denial. Some people who used to be rich or at least middle class, have gotten broke because of the recession, but they just don't want to give up that lifestyle. I've seen it happen in my family.

Yes I do, a lot of people in this world seems to be ultra materialistic in this day and age
